In an article dated June 23, 2012 a daughter of a CIVIL WAR VETERAN had died. I thought the article was interesting because I had no ideas that children of the Civil War were still living.
The object of The Oakmont Genealogical Study Group shall be to promote an interest in genealogy and local history by the exchange of information, examination of records, and similar means to educate the members, and others, in the sources and methods of genealogical and related historical research; the collection, preservation, and safeguarding of manuscripts, books, as well as family, church, and other records relating to genealogy and local history.
