The object of The Oakmont Genealogical Study Group shall be to promote an interest in genealogy and local history by the exchange of information, examination of records, and similar means to educate the members, and others, in the sources and methods of genealogical and related historical research; the collection, preservation, and safeguarding of manuscripts, books, as well as family, church, and other records relating to genealogy and local history.
